Cmon.....
We've all done it!
What's the sketchiest repair / fix you've ever done or seen?

I've just done one and I need to feel good about myself again.

16m kite needed a new bladder..... Measured out my 15m bladder from a diff kite and it looked like it would fit. Valves lined up and reached wing tip to wing tip.
So I went for it!!! The 15m was frecked anyway!!

Get to the end and and it pumps up nicely, no twists, valves lined up....... Fu@#king bladder is 10cm too short on each wingtip.......
Packed it super super dense full of industrial bubble wrap (pool cover offcuts)
Works until I can get a new bladder!!

- kite needed a quick repair so as a joke I used a waterproof bandaid and gaffatape ( it was an emergency and it was the old & ruined 15m mentioned above)....... To my surprise, the gaffa tape lasted about 15 minutes....... Waterproof bandaid was still stuck on 2 months later!!

Anybody want a cheap 15m kite??

I tied a knot into the end of my LE bladder, then stuffed a rolled pair of socks inthe end so it wouldn't expand to much and pop. It was flyable, but only just.

Tried to fix my sons boogie board with quick grip only to find it melts the foam, so then tried expanding foam has some solvent which also eats into the foam although it expands into the dissolving foam cavity so kinda works but the result is a bit ugly. So your surfboard probably has more expanding foam than you may have bargained for...

Iv seen alot of dodgy ones in years past. I get a laugh out of most but not the ones I know someone paid for. I once fixed a 1M tear in my 16M with the ali tape i had in the back of my van. even stuck to the wet canopy and held for hours. Best part was when I got home, It pulled off easy without leaving glue everywhere. Session saved!

I had some monkey tell me this was an awesome repair. It's the canopy, just above the LE Dacron, which is supposed to be glued and stitched into the Dacron on the LE

Or sew the tips in (fold them in) to remove the gap
