Hi folks,
Not had this happen before. The little handle on the depower came off. It still all works but have just the little ball to grab instead of handle.
Rest of kite/bar is solid.
Replace all?
Stitch back on?
Just make something up (eg tie my own loop on?)
Just stick with the ball and don't bother?
Many thanks in advance!

Go to your local upholstery or sail/ kite repairist, get them to stitch The loop to your trim line if you've enough, leave stopper as that hits up against the clam cleat to a set power position

Hit it with a hammer
If I understand correctly, smash with hammer meant 'to get original ball off'....and Smithy saying just (then) out a big plastic ball on (to grasp instead of the handle that's come off)?
Caunchy had noted the plastic ball should be left in place as it 'hits up against the clam clear to set a power position'.
These two options seem to counter act each other - do appreciate the info but can anyone clarify? Thanks!
I'd say order new part, but Best closed now? So I'd go with Cauncys idea
Hard to get good help on this forum sometimes
It looks like it's spliced on....
Why can't u slide the stopper ball up, undo the splice take the broken bit out then feed the line through the open part of the loop, resplice and slide the stopper ball back down?
splicing is a handy skill to learn, used to use it a lot with ski ropes....
Thanks for all the help folks. I got a sail maker that's repaired a kite for me before. He said he can stitch the handle back onto the end of the rope (and leave the plastic ball stopper to be free as it's supposed to).....
....so I think I'm good....
