360 videos are pretty **** in 2D; BUT when viewed with VR goggles though you will find an altogether different experience.

It is around $3K now but if want to just explore 360 videos properly, you can pick up a Google Cardboard headset for less than $10 from lots of sites. Google also released a Cardboard photo app which lets you take panoramics and link them to recorded sound.
If people have one of the newest Samsung phone you can now grab a Gear VR headset which is WAY better than the Cardboard option. True immersive gaming and an ever growing catalogue of applications....also great for watching..ahem....3d movies.
