Made this board, it's a copy of a Tomo Evo. Simply magic. Daniel is a genius, thank you Daniel. . Drives upwind, faster than anything, floats offwind without being squirrelly, turns super fast with little effort. Accelerates in carve. Some differences to Tomo board is that this has concave deck. Super snappy, but also stable straight. ...Its way over my expectations. 3070 g total w fins and pads. Gonna sell my Celeritas and spacepickel.

Looks nice! Hard to build? How much did you spend on the materials?

I'll have to set up the action cam on my kite lines for action shots.
It's built like a surfboard. I used builders 50mm xps foam glued together, Hotwire, hand shaped, wet layup, v-Bagged the veneer on deck before deck lamination.
There's some cosmetic glitches, but next build will be perfect as I'll use a real surfboard blank.
I've been building stuff all my life, about 20 boards over the course of 45 years. Watch some videos, buy quality materials, have the right tools, and you can do it.
Takes me about 20 hrs. Cost about 200 euros in materials, the blank was cheap. A real blank will cost me 100-130 Euro here...

Hej Jacob,
It's 4ft 8 in x 18 in. Concave deck,
I'm very, very far away from sources and supply of leading edge board design. So, when I saw Daniel Thomson's Evo design, and recognized that it was a good design for my local conditions, I had to build it myself. Could not wait for a production version to get here in 2 years.
What I did was look at every image and photo I could find of the Evo and shape it.
Today I was out in 18-25 knots on 12 m kite in 1 m chop waves. It's a magic board. Guys here starting to ask me what I'm riding, they have never seen anything like it.
If you can get a ån Evo from Tomo, I'd go for it.
