Had the best session to test a light wind board to the max. Howling easterly and gusty as all hell! Headed out over powered and bang the KGII (King George, the Second) was off . Its fast, it stable, It is a board that you can load up and it takes it all.
From the first run it trucks up wind. A couple of patches were 26-28 knots 10.5 m kite and a 140 x 46 board!!!! It shouldn't add up, I should have been out of control but I wasn't. It took ever thing that was dished out to it. It jumped well, Carving turns and if the wind died you just leaned forward off the edge and away it went. Some times I was having trouble keeping the 12m airborne, but the board kept moving forward. Serious Fun was had.
So my kit now comprises of a 130 x 40 board, a KGII 140 x 46board and an 8 and 12m kite
That should do me from 12-13 knots to 35+ but the best thing is that with this board I am having sooo much fun not just mowing the grass trying to stay up wind.
My only experience with light wind boards was a 148 x 48 very flat, skatey with small fins.
It was hard work and didn't make light wind riding fun. The KGII is fun. It wont be the first board out on the water, that will be the race boards, but it will be the most fun out there.

Trucked upwind really well. the board feels smaller than it is.... but very forgiving when the lulls come
Very happy with the performance of this board good light wind board that acts like a normal TT.
Has a great top end for a big board.[}:)]
95kg + guys should look at this board as there main board, worth a demo
