Been working on these for 6 months design/ ordering/ 100 emails between supplier and me And super stoked how they came out Have sent out two boards with new pads which look great They are 9 x piece diamond patten 4.5 mm with corduroy lines on top of diamonds for extra traction have rear kicker and front bump 4x colours Also did them in black corduroy 3.5mm Can not wait to test at INDO trip in September in down line waves Pads come in one colour but mixed it up which I feel looks better

Very nice!

how does that crescent tail go? Same as a swallow or discernibly different?

Not as deep as a swallow But like look and provide bit more hold on hollow wave and still provides a bit more surface area in lighter wind

Finally got back to INDO again in September Trying new boards and my new deck pads and New medium Carbon/ glass Quobba's

1st on my wave model "White board " Used the 3.5mm Corduroy Was stocked how the grip stuck to my feet very smooth/ comfortable under your feet Specially the front bump Going up wind sat my front foot to it and also going over chop felt great Very happy with it Would have no problems recommending it

Next used 4.5 mm Diamond with Corduroys on top of diamonds also with front bump "Blue Board" light weight Pro carbon 2.2 kg Yes if you won't that extra grip performance its the way to go Also nice with front bump upwind and over chop and jumps/ freestyle
Thanks to WA Kiter for pointing out the direction of the diamonds before I finalised order Never noticed or new the is right way and wrong way Amazing the difference

So... which way is correct?

One of my boards from a big brand has them the wrong way IMHO -- back foot grips well but front always slides forwards...

The diamonds facing forward of course but the diamonds have soft edge and sharp edge
The soft edge facing forward to front of board , sharp edge to the back See photo
Also you can see corduroy's on top of diamonds

Had great waves wind At INDO this year
I really loved these full deck pads Specially the front bump
Had my front foot resting up to front bump For going up wind with chop And down line Also used them on my surf board and did not interfere with my paddling/ my chest
All my work on them paid off
