There are quite a few cams around the South Australian coast line, mainly with Coastalwatch and Swellnet. My wife is on the committee of the Seacliff SLSC and I'm investigating the feasibility of getting either the surf club, or the yacht club hosting a live video stream from their clubs. Has anybody out there had any experience dealing with Coastalwatch or Swellnet? My understanding is that they assist with cost and running of the cam. Other sites exist which host live stills, but streaming video is obviously better. Imagine one on, for example, Middelton Point!
Here's a couple of links.

Bit annoyed - someone has bumped the Outer Harbor cam so that it shows more of the channel and less of North Haven beach.

Lake Bonney in Barmera now has a webcam if anyone's near there. It's on the yacht club on south west side of lake.

Mick, I sent a very nice email to the DTEI asking about the camera alignment, and within 24 hours they had re-aligned it! I am still working on having a web-cam installed at Seacliff, along with a local real-time weather station, so stay tuned on that one. By the way, we had one of the best sessions this season at Seacliff yesterday, with about 10 kites, and 20-25 knot SW winds. Had some great surfing on the Marino Rocks point, but abit overpowered with my 12m Rebel!

Hi David,

Thanks for your feedback about repositioning the Outer Harbor webcam back to show some of North Haven's beach on the left side of the breakwater.

It appears that the unit may have been accidentally bumped to one side so we will ask the remote site operator to reposition it for us at a time convenient to his normal day-to-day operations.

In the meantime, thanks again for the feedback and please continue to view the webcam page when OS.

Regards,

Nice work on the alignment, I will at least have a chance to see what I am missing out on. I had a tendon in a finger come of the bone, just got it stitched back together using some "spare" wrist tendon. The doc has side lined me for 12 weeks. Really should have had it done asap and I would be on the water by now.
