Hi
Coming home to Tassie in late Dec until late Jan with kites in hand from Copenhagen. Too damn cold here!
Where are the regular spots to ride? Is there a website with a spot guide for wind direction and so on? Will be in hobart but we are thinking the North West corner looks good for some flat water spots?
My girlfriend rides as well so there will be plenty of time allocated to Kiteboarding if anyone is keen to point us in the right direction we would appreciate it:-)
Cheers
Lots of good spots so long as the wind blows!
There are lots of earlier posts you can have a look at for locations to kite.
There's a bit of a crew around Hobart to kite with as well.
Mortimer Bay / Sandpits, Cremorne Lagoon, Marion Lagoon can all work as flatwater spots with the right wind direction.
In NW winds, you can launch at 5miles and go upwind next to the Causeway on pretty flat water
nice work vt
hope the westerly isn't too strong this w/e at Carlton, with a 0.4m low tide at 1700 and swell

Yeah it was pretty good. Very sore now though. Took some very hard and awkward crashes. To old for this s":t. Need to gay up and get to the gym and do some weights in preparation to give the chassis a chance. Shame it'll never happen.
Hey
Thanks for all the pointers:-)
Will post a forum a little closer to the time to see if anyone is up for a kite:-)
Looking forward to riding some warmer water! Water is down to 4-5 air temp 4-5... add some wind chill factor into it drysuit is great but the windchill on the gloves hurts!
Cheers
