Well done Tribe Carew.
Thanks to all the WA crew for putting on an awesome event in one of the worlds best kite spots.
Thanks to Axis /North/Smook and RPS
And last of all thanks to Fran for playing mother hen.
Just as importantly, the wind was cranking, sun blazing and surf pounding (could have been a bit bigger), it was a great trip with the tribe.
Experienced awesome surf breaks before and after the event, Hells gate, Sunset beach and Coronations.
The downwinder was epic, big winds/10m kite, next time I will take something smaller.
First trip to WA, reminded me of Taranaki back in NZ.
Well done guys, hoping you can post a video if you have footage. Or some photos.
Shame about all the losers on this forum pressing red thumbs to a positive post.
How did James Carew place above simon Wichtermann? Simon would have to have about 10 times the repertoire of tricks no?
I wasn't there to see it but from what i heard James Bedford landed an s-mobe, blind judge and numerous other handle pass tricks and simon landed his usual great repertoire. so please correct me, James storm can land more powered s-mobes, blind judges and back to blinds then simon wichterman and James Bedford? I wish i was there to see that!
But after all James storm is the national champion
He's the national JUNIOR champ in Waves. He is not really into freestyle . Aron Kenny is the one to watch .Hes awesome. James just loves big winds so the condition suited him. The other guys are much better at free style. I was not there but he must have been doing some thing right.
