Testing in progress. (Need holiday in warmer water to perfect the strapless wakeskate).
Looks great PK - cant wait to hear how it goes...
Adam - I won't troll promise :)
Question: Have you considered putting a small twin-tip fin just above the rear wing along the fuselage? Another guy did it and swears makes it easier to learn and control upwind, etc
i can easily do it to your order ;p. it can also be done by putting more roll in the front wing or folding the wing tip vertically to make it feel less buttery
update time !first foil worked out great, with a few adjustments its now almost ready for production. i'm now testing out another more high aspect design. if it all works out ill release a final price and start taking orders. if anyone is interested in a demo or a purchase please contact me via e mail at adambrown155@hotmail.com
Hey Adam, great work...
As as with many others I have been watching with increased interest the emergence of foils as becoming more main stream and, as with a few others, feeling those familiar urges of parting with some hard earned and to have a go. So over the winter months I have read a fair bit on the forums including about some home build projects.
what you are offering is quite unique. any chance of getting an unbiased review posed from an experienced foiler? as you can appreciate there is a leap of faith required when buying a custom product such as yours.
thanks for the support ! as soon as this prototype #2 is tried and tested i will try and find an experienced foil rider who is willing to write up a un biased review asap for you all.but so far even this prototype #1 is holding up great with smashing into sand bars (and the odd reef) and handling all the abuse me and all my friends (who are mostly learning on it) some who are experienced.. are throwing at it no probs !
update. prototype #2 is complete some testing has been done with the wings, with good feedback so far.
Looks good. What sort of foil sections are you using on the wings? And how are you shaping them (if that's not a trade secret)?
The wings are made out of marine grade high strength aluminium sheet metal and are milled, ground and roll'd into shape
