Wagoe has been on my to do list for years but we've always just gone further north to DHI, Steep Point or to Quobba but a few mates are keen to try ballooning and chasing reefies and sharks without having to worry about falling off a cliff whilst trying to work out how to use a cliff gaff
Booked a few day's up there in May but is there anywhere you can launch or land from without getting torn to shreds if the wind and swell comes in? Is it even worth taking the kite gear or just pack more bourbon instead?
Port Gregory - has some flat stuff
drive north up the beach from for beach breaks
Lucky Bay too
there is a a rock shelf that runs in front of the beach at wagoe
if tide high and you are brave, well, good luck
If there's a suitable break in reef or somewhere nearby that's safe, why not?
I think you're significantly more like to encounter more sharks in the NW (we've always encountered them north of False Entrance and out wide around the Mac's & Montebello's) but I think the chance of a serious attack is less. I have promised big fish though but these blokes are happy chasing bream at Moore river so i think the bait is a step up
Killer spot! So flat.
Might be worth getting a 2nd hand 9 or a 10 just in case it pushes 30kn?
Now, where's the best spot for Mac's
