unbelievable . This is the first summer storm we have had and people are already saying the season is over ?
ffs there are still many months to go . There has been plenty of wind .
Pretty standard this time of year. Maybe the storms are a few days longer than usual, but yeh...it's not much different every year.
I know what you mean, after what feels like months of wind more or less every day, a week of no wind feels tragic! Might have to have a look at the job list on the fridge!
nope. didn't say it was over. just said it was an addiction and the wind is gone for a week.
well you didn't
The topic is called where did the season go , the way it's written implies it is over
and you never mentioned the wind going away for a week
just sayin .
It will be blowing its tits off on the south coast all week!!!..Haha its a crack up how kiters get pissed when there is no wind...grap a surfboard or SUP for a week till the wind comes back.
There should be some morning easterlys anyway!
and **** me spent the afternoon doing a major garage door rebuild with my mates and the southerly is in. 20 -25 with some swell too.
we are blessed in the Midwest.
Relax, it's mother natures way , she's just letting you recoup,
You are spot on Mick. Taking a break after an amazing coulpe of months is good.

You ready to start ripping again
Gagging for it! But have to do a business trip to Perth this arvo so missing out. Well pissed off. Flying back tommorow arvo so should hit the water around 6 and have a late sesh....
Had a good session today at Leighton. Took a while for the wind to kick in but had nearly the whole ocean to myself! Tomorrow looks good all day, might start as early as mid day. (I'm on holiday)

lol u signed up just to say that?
btw, i agree with dusta, the author IS saying “where did the season go?’ informing that the season is over.
Not just the weekend.
just sayin.

hi beebee , created a troll account did we ???
no, we just have a cyclone coming down the coast. . . . . temperatures are still hot, therefore seabreezes will still occur. season isn't over till max daily temps routinely drop below 25 degrees.
I'm looking forward to the winter season, big nw winds and swell, we generally get some great straight on shores for some speed runs along southbeach,

You mean like next week is forecast to do?
I reckon there will still be a few good sessions to be had before the seabreeze dies right off.
It hasn't been a bad season but definitely not the best.
A bad WA season is still better than anywhere else.
To the winter kiters, start frothing or at least tell us you're frothing
Good winds
DJMWA - when there is a cyclone around (as I said) which sets up a low pressure trough down the west coast, we get no seabreeze. Get rid of the trough and +25 degrees generally = sea breezes.
Learn to read synoptic charts instead of just seabreeze and you'll understand.
