Hi, my friend and I from Germany would like to travel and kite along the Western coast in march. We were thinking about which kites to take. Is the wind more like either no wind at all or 30knots? Or more variable? We are 70 and 80 kgs and are thinking about 7,8,9,10 or 7,8,10,13... It's a bit tricky to get the gear on a plane. Do you think it is easy top buy and resell gear?
I've had a 13 this year and where I've been I hang out round the corner with it early to get it as soon as it 'switches' to S or SW ..so I usually get the first few hours in with it before it 'goes up' ..escalates...
Which has been great as I manage to get a few hours in before some beaches get jammed packed with all the new foilers..kites and windsurfers these days..(respect to them)
In regards to selling gear it's coming towards end of season then... it would sell better on east coast as season comes on there...probably...
Buying it is easy peasy so many good kites around at the moment as everyone's going 'foiling' you could pick some really good 2018 ones up for 200$ or less
Board also.
Too many to bring on a plane methinks..
7...9..13...is good

Hi Lunamoon, March is getting near the end of our summer season, so less seabreezes. But we are are a big state! So if you check out seabreeze.com.au forecasts from the North, like Exmouth down to Albany / Esperance, you should be good. Am thinking bringing your big 13 would get you more days on the water. It's always easy to buy kites, selling can be a bit more tricky! I hope you have a great trip and enjoy Western Australia, its a beautiful place.
Hi Lunamoon
Being That its towards the end of the season I would say bring them all.
Prepaid excess baggage can be quite affordable or unaccompanied baggage might work.
Business Class on many flights give you massive baggage allowances
Hey, thank you all! Then I think wen try to Bring as many kites as possible and buy a 12 in Australia.
Is It really necessary to rent a 4WD?
