Hi

I've just moved to jindy and I'm keen to creat a hook up forum for snow kiters.

I have Saturday, Monday and Tuesday off each week and would be keen to hook up with some people and camp out the back when it's on. Cheers Chris

Hi Chris

I am Jindabyne local who snow kites and am always looking for people to go kiting with.

I would be keen to catch up for some kite sessions this season,I have Saturdays and Sundays off and the odd day here and there weather permitting.

I usually leave from thredbo. Where do you have a pass for? I went hiking out the back of Thredbo on Sunday and it looks like there should be just enough snow to get started, but as always preying for more.

Hi SkiKiter83 and Chris,

My name is Cryssie, I've never snow kited before, very keen to try.

Working at Hot Shots Photography (Thredbo), so I'm around Jindy and Thredders :)

Been kiting almost a year, but still consider myself a beginner, since I can only ride one way on water. However, I have excellent kite control.

Will be kiting on skis

Please get in touch!

Cryssie :o)

I have regular carving skis with normal bindings. Friends of mine (in Victoria) have snow kited with them and had no issues? I didn't think I needed special gear. Strong Intermediate skiier, beginner kiter (with excellent kite control)

there can be alot of walking if the wind isnt perfect or if your a beginner to get to the good spots so touring bindings with skins make it a lot easyer if the snow is soft
i go out kiting about 2-3 times a week
are your kites inflatable of foils and what size are they?

I have one kite only, a 2012 North Neo inflatable, 10m. It's probably a little powered for snow, but I can always depower it.
