CQBC Capricornia division are excited to announce a new event on the blokart calender.

The Capricornia blokart Regatta will be held at Mulambin Beach from June 6th to 9th 2014.

This is the Queens Birthday Weekend and also Show week for Rockhampton and Yeppoon, so it's a four day weekend here.

Mulambin Beach is located half way between Yeppoon and Emu Park and is a 2km super hard, flat surface with a width of up to 350 metres from dunes to waterline, which allows for varied courses to be set. Whether the wind is from the north, east or south this beach is sail-able. This beach is very different from Farnborough in that there are never pot holes or corrugations because its so hard.

The usual production and performance classes will apply and weight breaks will be decided based on competitor numbers.

Notice of race and Registration forms will be posted next week along with accommodation offers from Capricorn Palms Big 4 Tourist Park which is located less than 150 metres from the beach.

More to come soon.

Any inquiries please call or PM me.

Might even throw a marathon in if time allows. Maybe not the full 100km's, but 50 might fit in.

Outstanding endorsement of the Production blokart! The devotees of the sport have come out with 26 production blokarts so far, with another possible 6 to register yet. Alongside these are 18 performance karts- great turnout for an inaugural event.

Well the inaugural CQBC Capricornia Blokart Regatta has been run and won. Over 40 competitors sailed in good winds for the majority of the event with a less than favorable wind shift bringing a halt to proceedings by mid afternnon on Sunday.

On behalf of the race committee I'd like to extend a big thank you to all who came and made our inaugural event a huge success.

Results will follow soon

A big 'thank you' to Paul & Wayne and all those who assisted with the Capricornia event.
It was nice to only have to do registration and a bit of other assistance & be there as back up and allow the very capable Capricornia team to run this event.
The level of support from competitors and guests with setting up and packing down was greatly appreciated.
It was great to see many new competitors, many of whom were racing at their first formal blokart competition.
The beach surface was almost faultless. The wind played its part Friday, Saturday and half of Sunday, making for a great event.
Thanks to all those who supported the event & we are sure it will only grow from here.

Congratulations to all!

Deb & Darren

Well done to all who competed and assisted. Great to see my wife racing and doing very well at her first competition event where she actually got to race! Well done Deb.
