Just wondering

1 would these be any good as a starting point from which to manufacture landyacht wheels?
2 If yes, is anyone interested in getting together to make a minimum order? I dont imagine there will be enough people for 15 pair but it might be worth asking if they will ship less.

These look pretty cool as well...

Where were they when I was making my wheels, actually not much different to the wheels that I currently build and about the same weight. But they are a reasonable price so give it a go.

I have run the wheels for a full season now and they have been the best and easiest that I have made, no welding required.

It looks like they are becoming more commonplace state side. I saw 2 riders walking their bikes at a car show recently and inquired. It's common to see folks walking custom bikes but they said theirs were bought at sports authority and walmart. If one can make use of the other parts (tires, axle, fat fork etc.) maybe it wouldn't be a bad starting point.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a pair of these rims please post here. I don't think there will be enough interest to make their 15 pair minimum order.

If you want a pair let me know then Ill ask the supplier if they will supply the quantity we want, might cost a bit more. If they agree ill let you know the price and bank details.

So Far:

John H-S, 1 pair
Paul D, 1 pair
Chook H, 1 pair

Any other takers?

For 5 pairs of 26" x 80mm alloy rims same as the pic in the 1st post, price is $60 per pair + shipping.

Who is still interested?

Having a very amusing time trying to communicate with Chinese manufacturers.

I dont think they want to sell less than their minimum 15 pair quantity.
I have asked the local bike shop for a price for 1 pair to see how they go.

At the moment ill put negotiations on hold unless there are enough takers for 15 pair.
