I would be very interested in your comments. Cheers, Kieran
Hi Kieran, Welcome to the forum......The design looks interesting. Keep in mind that Land Sailing is a worldwide sport but has a relatively small number of participants, The sport is governed by an international body called F.I.S.L.Y. and there is just a few yacht class designs, If you are going to design a yacht try and make it fit one of the classes otherwise it will be of very little interest to people around the world.

The most popular classes in the world are Class5 / Class5 promo or International Mini 5.6 yacht. So work your yacht design into one of those classes if you are wanting to do anything commercially.
Just something to keep in mind.... wire spoke wheels don't work well on land yacht due the side forces put on them.
I'm surprised you have thought that a large yacht would suit the leisure market, Blokart and many years ago the Manta were aiming for that same market and they went small enough to fit into or onto a car rather than the need for a trailer.
But you have done your research and its your investment so you would be working on current leisure market trends good luck and all the best for your project,
I wish you well.

love your work the yacht has some really nice retro touches to it . very reminiscent to the french BB design they used in the 1960's to cross the sahara.
im assuming this design is just a personal yacht as opposed to a manufacturing concept..
be aware that the illustrated rear suspension does really dampen bumps AND performance..
Also history has shown that spoked rear wheels end badly. i would recommend coverson the i readiness for the day that a trailing sheetrope wraps around the wheel
enjoy and have fun,
cheers paul

Thanks for your comments Paul, I am hoping to manufacture. With better balance and the ropes transferred to the feet there will be no sheet rope problems! Check out my video . Also, a modern windsurfing sail will greatly enhance the speed! More technical details also at this link.
