And now the real fun begins!
It looks awesome
Can't wait to see it on the water.
There should be some more boats getting launched soon.
Bring back the cats! Actually, I'd rather they brought back the monos in the form of something like the Maxi 72s, which are closer to the reality of AC history; the hype that the AC has always been a leading regatta is just pure BS.
To me these seem like something that will be even less practical than the foiling cats. Sports that are popular are sports in which the top events use the same sort of gear that the weekend warriors use. Foiling is great, but it really has not caught on in a big way in boats; nor did canting, water ballast, wingmasts and lots of other things that people said were going to be The Next Big Thing. The sport has to return to having the main events in craft that are closer to the stuff the average person sails.
Is it just me. Or does the shape look familiar.
Ha yeah, I had exactly that thought when I saw it being launched. Can't wait to see it sailing!
Assume you've seen this.............

I saw them out yesterday and i didn't think it was that windy.
They were sailing upwind and as when they got to Brown's bay they bore away and just dissapeared
And the Brits have launched.... er... something!

Agree 2bish that is UGLY
Time will tell how fast it would be and what conditions and points of sail.
Code zero for real light wind racing.
It will be interesting if they develop a smaller sizes.
