Hi all
We had beautiful weather down here yesterday for our opening day sail past to salute out club patron Roger Harwood who was anchored off the clubhouse on his beautiful self built Huon Pine motor boat
Following the sail past we returned to the club house for the afternoon for lunch that was a mixture of food bought along by the members, some Tassie salmon and a selection of meats and marinated chicken pieces cooked on the BBQ followed by a selection of desserts
It was a great day with a range of boats on the water from a little gaff rigged timber yacht to a 50 foot ketch and everything in between
Bec Enders, the Mayor of the Huon Valley Council and Juarn Birde, who is a Councillor also joined us to launch the Teenage sailing program
It is great when everything comes together and a fantastic day was had by all on our beautiful Huon River
Regards Don
Good to see people rallying around the club
