i dug out a few before and after pics. Very happy with the finish although it was hard work in the prep. Next will be the cabin sides and decks working my way aft in satin white and Radar quarter tint kiwi grip! I love boats!
looks good ......was it painted before or did you paint the original gel coat ?
Na plywood/epoxy glass decks was some industrial paints and glass beads it's been rather ugly.
Good stuff that Kiwi grip nice job Southace
Thanks andy59 I'm happy with the finish and think it should look great when the job is completed, I could have went grey but I'm feeling the heat on the blue is about the same temp as the White. Tomorrow will be the real test at 45 degrees forecast!

Sanded the guts out of the old glass beaded polyurethane epoxy coatings. Then one thick coat of wattle epinamel 2 pack sanding undercoat. Then 1 coat of bondz (zinsser) brand maximum adhesion water based primer. Then taped up arrears that needed the aqua trimsatin finsh, then re-taped on the oppersite side of the lines ready for the Kiwigrip.
thats the prep for a ply/epoxy glass deck a gel coated deck the kiwi grip could be added directly if the surface is sanded and cleaned although I would still be tempted to coat first with bondz.
