That's beautiful. How good is it, waking up to a lovely morning afloat. Cool breeze, some schools of pilchards swimming around, everything clean and clear, breakfast cooking. Just superb.

We had a high of around 24 today and raced this afternoon so all in all it was a top day from start to end

Hi HG

We have been here for about 3 years now and the beauty of this place amazes me every day

Every day we drive 15 mins to work along the river side and every day the river is different and I never get tired of looking at it

We travelled and worked for 10 years around Australia in our van and I truly believe that this place is as good as anywhere else I have ever seen and the property prices down here are a steal compared to the mainland

The Huon is a magnificent river and we have a really friendly yacht club with some of the nicest people I have ever met, the racing is very competitive but clean and I am totally in love with this place

Regards Don

Don you are right. Love the pix and posts. I used to work in huonville seasonally as a apple picker for 10 years. i could live in Tass easily if the missus would. Pristine, clean, green space. It's like
nz. Choose a direction and take your pic. Gorgeous.

Hi Steve

We visited NZ a few years ago and the scenery was amazing

Tassie is very similar but I think that NZ is probably better with the glaciers, snow covered peaks and the differences between the north and South Island

When my wife and I visited we wanted to move there

Thing about nz is it isn't australia:)
So you
Happen to
Know Scott price? He runs an orchard in the huon. Worked for
Him about 10 seasons. Pretty sure he is a sailor

Hi Steve

The name is not familiar

The only person I know of who has a orchard and sails at the moment is Andrew Scott

we've only been on the east coast for 15 months or so and it amazes us as well,
we only have a 3 or 4 min drive to work....or 25 min walk along the beach tracks,
had been coming down from vic for 8 yrs to see our son before that and absolutely love the joint!
we don't sail, have stink boats instead,
Maria/Schouten Islands are nearby,
can be windy out there
