Has anyone here replaced the seals in the an old bronze portlight like this one below? Not the best image but hopefully enough. I have not taken the seal out yet but it just looks like a squarish section and would be happy to hear from others on this if possible.

go to archive.com search for practical boat owner, download magazine Jan 2016, go to page 46, read all about it.

Thanks MEGAMAX...
archive.com seems to just redirect to a twitter account.. Either it is hijacked or does not exist anymore I guess.

Found it.. Seems like the homepage has been hijacked but finding a direct link was fine. Might sub to this as it looks interesting anyway.

Thanks again.

Actually that article seems to assume you can get a correct new seal but I am assuming I would need to make one up from a length of square section seal. That is my current assumption but I am now trying to find where I can get a hold of this kind of seal section in OZ.

If you have a local Clark Rubber, check them out for rubber seals, they have a fair selection of profiles.

Ah yes, of course.. Just looked online and they seem to have quite a few to choose from. Thanks samsturdy.
