If you need to fix it at sea carry what is needed to fix it.
I carried head gasket, rocker gasket, filters (lots), impellers. Spare nuts and bolts etc.
Shackles, blocks, pulleys, rope for sheets and halyards, sail repair tape.
Hacksaws and bolt cutters for rig failure.
All the tools needed to fix the above. Spanners, socket set, hammers, screw drivers.
And that was just for coastal and Lord Howe trips. If I was going further I'd carry more.
What are those black plastic fittings in the bottom right of your photo?
That's just the companionway hatch boards
I almost bought one of these, still think its a great piece of kit.
I got talked out out of it in the end, but if I had a single rudder and was doing lots of miles, this would be a no-brainer.
They had a nice set of mounting options too.
That's awsome. Some offshore races you have too demonstrate your emergency rudder set up. There you go.
Yes it will probably sit under a bunk forever. But it may save your life one day.
