The information is from the new seabrease forum layout. Has been 100 knots over Debbie but now I'm intrested in 30 to 40 northerly blasting down cape York. I think I will go west next year the coral coast has been smashed!

What is strange? It's blowing 30 to 40 knots down the cape of far north qld. What a muck. I have been doing underwater photography and sailing for past 10 years on east coast and truth to be told I will wait a few more years now till I get back in the water on East coast. Such a shame!
Actualy abc 24 is showing fresh southerly right up the far north east coast is th double island weather station giving a incorrect reading?
That would be my guess.
Big ridge, observations north and south all of the ridge.
Unless there is stationary low about 30 miles across, the observation is wrong.
Do not worry about nature, it will recover as it did for zillions of years if we humans let it do it's job!
Their wind direction has been crazy for a couple of days. I recon ther is a big ibis sitting on their wind vane.
Now it's showing the lowest wind recorded in OZ
The ibis just crapped on the paddle wheel.
The Double Island wind station ALWAYS stooges me!
Sailing back from Lady Musgrave once in my cat, beating HARD into a 20 knot South Easter (as usual) on my way back to Mooloolaba, the DI station was reading 15 knots due Westerly AS I SAILED PAST IT! I WISH that it was 15 from the West, that's a dream come true, but sadly, no.
Petey
I get negative tide but negative wind!
Double island point -1 knot
does that mean the wind is sucking instead of blowing
