One of the last jobs after 5 years since I brought and re-furbished my Adams 40 was to replace the old front runner in the forward cabin walls. I finally have some luck ordering 5 meters of foam backed vinyl today. It's what they use on the new model Rivs and I'm getting it factory direct. I think it will go well with the timber work and I may even make opening lids for the storage shelfs which will finish it off.
I seem to always leave the hard jobs till last! But I love my boat!
Gold........love of boat in spades right there..............
Yep. Looks awesome Southace!
You make me feel grubby, my boat is never that good looking..
The foam back vinyl is on its way, so today's job remove the headliner and glue! Bunnings sell diggers glue remover which makes the job a bit quicker. Looks like I will be camping in the spare cabin tonight!
I bet that glue remover has a high content of methylethylketone (M.E.K.) which is what the glue sniffers get off with.
That stuff will fry your brain so I hope you are wearing a respirator mask with correct chemical filter cartridges and sleep in the cockpit, not down below.
Be safe.

Yeah I agree Southace, sleep up top otherwise you're gonna be having some funky dreams...
Still gluing away and removing old glue. Didn't get that high just a bit of a headache at times. The white leather boards will be sika on so I can apply the foambacked leather onto the black boards and sika them in place. I just need to use a bit more glue on the ribs with the front runner left overs and the rest will be glued externally and then the boards will be sika in place. I love boats!
I love boats! Not!
Vinyl leather arrived today!
I'm liking the ribs in vinyl rather Than the carpet I put on the forward bulkhead. So I think she be all white.
warning do not get any creases in foam backed vinyl before applying to smooth surfaces!
I know sorry for boring you blokes!
Not at all - keep the pics coming!!
Looking good. :)

I'm not that happy with the front runner I fitted to the bulkhead. I haven't stuck the panels in yet so I'm thinkinking I could glue the foam backed vinyl strait onto the forward bulkhead as it's a smooth surface and will lock in neat once side panels are attached. I love boats!
Stage 1 complete! 3 stages to go!
I don't think I need to sika the panels in they are quite a tight fit.
It's getting close to what I visualised!
New mattress cut tomorrow and tidy up the rib beams and a full length upper top section glued in will just about complete the starboard side!
I love boats!
Looking flash sa. Just a little bit missing each side of that locker but I am sure you will get it right.
New cut foam mattress $500 and now the mattress memory foam and bed made starting to look like home again!
