I saw the first episode last week,
I thought it was good
Food and alcohol and sailing. How can you go wrong ?
I try not to forget things!
I just fail to remember
Its a prick being old for me but you L.C. probably to many nice reds
Many years ago I drove in the the city car park. Parked my car in a under ground parking business . I forgot to look what street and where I was as I was walking away 5 hours later I found it
The yacht was at the wooden boat festival a few weeks ago and it was a nice looking thing with what I thought was a practical layout with a centre cockpit with a aft cabin Opening onto the rear deck area
Furling headsail and main would make it easy to handle short handed
If you missed it it may be on again on the weekend as I think last weeks episode was shown twice later on
Regards Don
SBS has view on demand online similar to iview.

Thought I'd put a reminder up for Thursday night episode for the brain dead
I resemble that remark

It's been interesting so far. A bit too much eating and not enough sailing for my liking but good nonetheless. Hopefully they'll get some decent breeze soon. The diving is a bonus too; they must have a dive boat following them around. "Looxury", as they say in Yorkshire.
good tv!! nice boat ! ....and locations !................maria island is s great place to visit if down that way . Its really better than portrayed in the show !!
can also be got to from the main island by ferry as well as private boats ! would be worth spending a few days there for sure .
thanks dr rog for link !!!!
Watching the final now. I have established I know Nick and have had some big nights drinking black samboka in the past in Sydney harbour. I don't realy like the boat although it looks like they have spent a fortune on her! The only problem with centre cockpits is it can be cramped with 3 big blokes I'm glad most of my mates are Not that tall .
Tassie is a great place but extreme caUnion needs to be taken!
Hell Flinders and Bass was possibly Gay well that's a shock!
Bathast habour was my fav and my Canadain mate did get some ABbs from a gay couple on the beach... He said they where up to some funny business when he stumbled across them!
Oh and I'm no chief but this is what I sereve my self and crew not ox tongues!
alantic salmon with wasabi and creamy dill and pea pasta with fries thanks to Pizza Hut last night!
As well as crumbed flathead, oysters and calamari only when I'm cruising though!

it IS a top spot... l see it every day lol....starting to cool down overnight now so would need to rug up a bit....good doco too, though haven't bothered to look at the other episodes featuring the less desirable areas,
lol
Watched the final episode tonight and it was good to see them on the Huon (best part of Tassie)
Not a lot about sailing in the series but quite enjoyable to watch
From the comments they made it sounds like a lot of the trip was either motoring or motor sailing but it would have been a great trip to do

Hi HG
So was I but Port Cygnet in a bit further down river from Port Huon
The Olive May is based at Port Huon and when I saw her I thought they may have come up here to film but everything I saw was around Cygnet

yes very nice part of the world , are you looking at, or on maria island ? we went out there for a day trip on the ferry service from triabunna ........... was really interesting and fun ...........
l live in Orford, 6-7 mins from Triabunna, which is where my boat lives, either on a mooring or a marina berth....or on a dock trailer... so l see Maria every time l go for a squiz,
l don't work on Maria but do spend time fishing around it, like on tomorrows fishing comp... l know, l know, wrong forum ,
the view across to Maria from Raspin's beach, Spring beach or Rheban beach is just superb,
l spent three hours on Tuesday on Rheban beach just relaxing...and doing my fair share of community work...looking for white pointers
