I would like to thank SpongeBlob for his help in getting my stove on its way. That's one of the great things on this forum there is some really great people on here that help out. Thanks again Spongeblob for your help
Absolute pleasure to help out Haydn,
Had a lovely drive in the warmth of the sun up to Woy Woy with my daughter,
found a long time storage on the hard to work on my recently purchased Hood 20,
and blew the cobwebs out of the modern day Kombi.
I've had a lot of good advice and help from members on this forum
and anything I can do to pay that back I will.
You do good work Haydn, keep it up mate.
Hey Dale you legend!!
Guess what happened to state of origin day?
Had tickets for the big game that night.
got a call from the marine people that our boat has drifted onto the island??? Its on a mooring so i was wondering what the hell???
The stoopid boat was up on the hard ( in a perfect spot thank god) The bottom spliced eye at the mooring base had un-twirled itself. Its like two inch thick rope!
anyway...got to scrape some junk off, and the boat didnt crash into the millions of other boats around thank god.
This boat is the devil. Its escaped so many times now. its evil. think i need to do a proper re-naming ceremony or else bad luck will keep happening.
Boat has been sitting on that mooring for ages with two big rusty anchors on the front deck hence the rusty stains.
Had to sell me origin tickets!!!!! and push the boat off at ten at night up to me neck in muddy cold water.
Hope youre going good dale! (aka blobby)
Ooops Brizzydave,
Hope you put a large swivel on the end of that mooring rope.
See Whitworths cat. Page 97 item 84897
Dave you poor bugger, It looks so sad on its side.
If it was gunna end up somewhere best there.
I did ask for some pics of yours but not like that !
Started work as a builders labourer this week so I'll have some cash to
get mine up to scratch. Only been on it once since I took possession.
Bloody keel bolts are rusted out so I best start there.
Good to see you back on line buddy.
Later...

Just a quick clean for now Sponge Blob after I make the cabinet Ill get into it again left the burners out for now
Thanks mate Oh the Gimbel came out OK
HG02, what did you polish the stove with, and did you do it by hand or machine?
Looks like it came up a treat. I have a stainless steel BBQ on the deck which is need of a good polish but cant find anything that really works well.

Just by Hand at the moment it was only a quick clean including the brass fiddle . As I'm making the cabinet for it I just wanted to do little for now I have left the burners out for the moment while fitting and making the cabinet . Ill strip it down again and really give a through clean and polish .Not sure what with yet.
When I first started it still had a sticker from a chandler where it was bought from , stuck of the front .I wasn't thinking and used a stainless steel pad soon stopped that, found some thing less abrasive
