Hi everyone, first let me apologise for making my very first post in this forum a question, I would usually contribute a little before doing this, but I'm in a jamn, and have no choice, sorry.
OK, it's a bit of a long story, but suffice to say, I have been offered the boat you see in the pics for $1000 but no one in the ship yard knows what it is, like me, they are all boaties., not yachties
It looks like a Sonata to me, but which model? Also, it has a fixed keel.
The only problem with it its that the keel was sloppy, so the previous owner has unbolted and lowered it, with the view of cleaning it, re-applying fresh adhesive, then rebolting it back on. A contractor at the yard has quoted me $3000 which I think is excessive.
Iinside, it is a blank canvas, it has been gutted, no wiring, no cushions or cabinetry
So These are my questions, what model is this yacht? And is it worth taking on, considering what I've just mentioned? and what adhesive is used to rebound the keel? Sikaflex? or 2 pack epoxy?

John Allsopp design, little version of the Bonbridge 27 but with different builder.

That's a good buy especially if the sails are all there. Fibreglass furniture so you are almost there.
Sikaflex 292 is suitable for your keel to hull joint presuming the mating surfaces are nice and flat. For a poorer quality mating surface I'd use a rubberised epoxy glue.
