HI All,
I was hoping someone might have seen these locally, I am looking for one and I am baulking at paying the 42 EUR freight bill to buy a 20 Euro item from the manufacturer, they' re called a Ropeye XS Loop, essentially an adhesive hardpoint. I had to cut one to get the batteries out.
Harken are listed as Aussie agents, but no Harken outlet I have spoken to has heard of them.
I can buy a few I suppose and pretend I'm getting a good deal . I wouldn't mind using a couple more to reposition my cabin lee cloth hard points. Has anyone seen these or similar locally?
Thanks very much!
SB

Go direct to Harken in Sydney. www.harken.com.au/productcategory.aspx?taxid=8841

Hmmm actually, when you click on the individual links it shows no product, but I'm sure Grantley at Harken is the distributor.
Andrew York with the REO sportsboats was also using them, maybe he knows?

You're a gem Jethrow.
I must be getting tired, I been searching their website and missed them completely.
I'll try REO as well. I don't really need them right now, but I don't like the idea of untethered batteries for too long.
Thanks!

There used to be a company called stick-it as well. Dont know if they still exist.
They are pretty easy to make. There are a few different ways. Depends how strong you want them.
You can just use glass not carbon as well.
