This is what you get for the $75 up grade....thought it was 3D ocean view going by the advertising!

I got an email from them today about the upgrade. I thought they said it was free!!! Lucy I suppose, that I deleted the email.
(It may of been a different offer to be fair).

Meh. Well it is sort of 3D if you are into lines and numbers.

Note to self :- Do not pay for that upgrade.

I just this instant updated Navionics on my iPhone. It still has leads into Port Macquarie when they were replaced by a sector light early last year from memory. Good updates!!

Oh you guys and your sector lights , navionics on iPhones and port Macquarie! ........please relax and get your updates from your local ports if you have concerns......these are digital charts and don't get updated in fine detail as the terms and conditions explain.

Don't always use the leads on the charts as they are for BIG ships.

Us small fellows have different approaches to most bars and if you have local knowledge that will probably be the safest approach.

For example, the Camden Haven leads will take you over the roughest part of the bar!! Ask BlueMoon about becoming a submarine!
Always approach just south of an east/west line drawn through the middle of the entrance.

When I sail I pretend I'm a big ship! That's why very rarely I hit mother earth!

The post was intended to alert those on this blog who say they did so and so voyage only using navionics.

All sailors sometimes face the need to consider ports at short notice. Getting updates isn't always possible. The message is beware.

Unless of course you have experienced everything, are an expert and have an answer for everything.
