Well some of you may remember the disaster that befell my last yacht 'Jezebel' but here I am again! In Adelaide setting the new purchase up for the trip home across the Bight and up the coast to Geraldton, getting excited with departure either tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. Looking forward to getting to know her better!

Is that a "First"?

Oops, never mind, just had a look at the add ... so the answer is yes, it's a First.

Hi Southace, yep a good feeling, what does round the corner mean in oz? Yes loose, first 41s5, well spotted so hopefully a little bit of pace, but most importantly built to Bureau Veritas Survey for offshore work.

Unfortunately a test sail again today threw up a couple of issues, autopilot not working, professional install, on old wiring wtf!!! So head down bum up, so no beers tonight, still heading off tomorrow, still good to get these issues sorted now. She sails nice though!!

Yes sailed into Albany last night, the run from Adelaide took 6 days 19 hours, with a mix of all sorts of conditions, one hairy night with only a storm jib still doing 8 knots SOG, and a day of total glass off, amazing trip, shattered and a couple of kilos lighter!! Yes Southace the bash out the gulf was tough, but well past Port Lincoln in 24 hours so not bad. Who said Beneteaus don't cut it for real sailing? This one took a good pounding and came through well. I shall post a couple of pics once I have slept:)
