You remember navigation error steal yacht PINGVIN
around Island Head Creek.Fatally stuck on the beach.

A few attempts to refloat by creew was unsuccessful.
Sometimes later, perhaps more than a month, a local consortium took
a twin screw ketch CORAL ADVENTURE to help to refloat Pingvin

A few days attempt fail and Coral Adventure deposit himself nicely next to Pingvin

Most of the crew returned home and the owner refloat Coral Adventure two weeks late.
Pingvin was offered for sale on Gumtree for $ 10,000.

Pingvin was eventually sold for five dollars.

Sad to see someone's dream end up like this.

We stopped to have a look on our way north a few months ago, and it's actually a bit difficult to imagine the scenario that caused the grounding. She has ended up a long way from the creek entrance.

Came past again a week or so ago on our return - we didn't have a close look this time, but she seems to be in much the same place.

If they can tow the Pasha Bulker off a little yacht shouldn't cause too many problems.

It is quite a shame that it has gotten to this stage. It went up there on a tide so one can assume it could come off on a tide.

The tide on this full moon today/tonight has one of the biggest ranges for the year. If they do not get her off in the next 36 hours, the next window of opportunity is 22/11/2014 and not as good as this time now.

Given that the yacht has been there for some time now ( 2 or 3 months ), the state of the yacht market (multi chine steel yachts are a dina a dozen), Southace's offer of getting her off for $20,000 is not worth considering.

No doubt his contract would read "all efforts applied but no guarantee given".
