I bought this system a few years ago from Cruzpro in New Zealand.
Its low cost, easy to install when directions are followed and very reliable.
When initially installing I had false alarms ever thunder storm. Bert at Cruzpro was very helpful with prompt replies and problem solved.
Recently The power was interrupted erratically to the system and I could not get it to function so assumed I had damaged the unit.
I emailed Bert, received a prompt reply with a couple of ways to fix, now all good again.
This to me is exceptional ongoing customer service.

No.
It alarms for 5 minutes then resets.
I just have it connected to cockpit and navigation lights that flash annoylingly plus an audible alarm in the cabin that is ear pearcing.
Boat is about 50m from shore and friends on the water front report to me any flashing lights plus I can see my boat from home.

I think you are referring to the Trek Transponder, so much more than what is offered above, but of course, much more expensive. Is it worth the money, I believe so.

I have a system installed on my Riv. Its called Boatwatch and it sends me messages depending on what i have programed. For me my teenage kids use my boat and i didn't want intrusive camera's so this system is perfect.

I get a message if My bilge pump runs for more than 10 seconds, keys turn on, shore power disconnects, battery voltage, cabin door is opened, it has a full tracking system and can even have a geofence set up for a specific area if i want.

Costs me about $30 a month after install..

These I just took screen grabs. Currently my boat is on the hard stand.

I bought this as a cheap and cheerful alarm...it's loud and there to scare off any kids from the skate park next to the club should they get a bit nosy. Runs off 4 x AA's for a month or two. Hoping serious thieves might dump and run as well.

Another option is this cable alarm which you can get as long as 10m. Allows you to run it through your companion way lock, mainsheet block, outboard, etc. Again, not heavy duty, but more to make your boat a little less appealing to any potential f#$kwits

The trek system requires a sim card only, no internet and no monthly charge. An Aldi prepaid card lasts a long time.

Nope it has a sim fitted. That's what the monthly charge is about. their are a few different options in regard to contact. I didn't think it would be as great as I have found.

Hi jbshack I don't find cameras on board invasive because when a legitimate boat user gets on board he turns them off! Simple. Last week a tarp blew off my boat and thanks to trek transponder cam I saw it and could send some one to fix even though I was out of town. Fantastic. Not to mention identifying crims.

The unit you mentioned imported from uk?

If doesn't have an Internet connection its strange it needs an App!? And why do they make you sign up with an account, and how does it send emails to you?

Cool, i never thought about turning them off, but for me, with teenages, it just works for me..Especially after my daughter told us she and a few friends went late night skinny dipping once.. Made me glad of no cameras..
