Now lets see the version with a screen with a fine mist of moisture over it and the user with wet gloves or even just wet fingers!
Im not a big fan of using a tablet or a phone on deck you can't see them in day light and as you say wet fingers and its like riding a wild steer with out a rope
What I did like is the signal K which would be faster data transfer and product connection than whats on the marine industry now and how things will eventually integrate.
To me a tablet or a PC down below and a real marine screen on deck.
There still seems a problem with a lot of marine nav system not being able to send data and receive data to other companies products .
What I mean by that as an example a auto pilot from one company and a chart plotter of another adding into the mix wind and depth plus more and finding things don't intact as well as expected.
Making a route on a plotter and using that route on another companies auto pilot.
You cant just select and buy one companies auto pilot and then buy a chart plotter from a different company and expect it to integrate 100%
Where as a PC and you add a printer its plug and play after adding the driver software
