A few pics taken just prior to the cancellation of the SOLAS BBC last week. At one point we were alongside the Safe Water mark off Bradley's Head and could not see any land so visibility below 400 yards

That's nothing. If you were in London in the 1960s you would know what a real pea-souper is! Could not see past the end of the bonnet of the car.

That's right Yara. I was there in the 60's and I remember folks driving on the wrong side of the road with their
head stuck out of the side window trying to follow the kerb, it was the only thing they could see. I think the smoke
from domestic fires mixed with the fog, they called it smog. It killed some people apparently.

Smoke on the water is eery. We were on Broken Bay in 2013 when it was like your pics Troubador. In the middle it was really thick and since there were twit speed boats flying around (that we could hear not see) decided to retreat back to south end of Pittwater. Unbelievably in the midddle of Broken Bay we could not see which way to go and had to turn on the GPS!

View of Lane Cove River looking towards Woodford Bay. Shore to the 3rd line of moorings - about 75m. Couldn't see much past that.
