I was in hospital a few weeks ago and the interior of this boat looks exactly like the operating theatre I graced with my presence, as for the exterior of the boat I guess it's functional and some people might even think it pretty but surely no one would ever call it beautiful.
Pretty like Space Odyssey 2001.
I don't get the spinning kitchen/nav centre?
Mainsheet won't take out the wheels just the person holding them!
Id still like one! Looks like fun.
hows the main attachment point !!! scary **** !!
That's the mainsheet system they use on skiffs. It lets you center the boom without having to haul a traveler up to windward. As long as the attachment points and strop are engineered properly, it's an interesting experiment
backstay runners, 3 of them! I wont be buying one. That dinghy still has to have someone man handle the outboard on and off. Hard to get into the housing in calm conditions, would be great in sloppy seas.
Shaggy's next boat?
Mother!
Not a fan of that interior, the rest of it I really like.
Check out the length of the foot on the Code 0, that looks expensive.
Canting keel cruiser eh? How far we have come.
The price was over 2 million pounds back in 2010, without sails. So that's well over $5 million today, with sails. It makes one assume that JP Dick has some way of earning money apart from being a pro sailor. It also makes it look like very ordinary value for money by many standards.
It's a nice boat but IMHO something is wrong with the sport when boats that cost that much get such an enormous amount of attention inside sailing, while affordable boats are ignored. It wasn't that way when the sport was strong and growing.
