Uh oh, I think they are Setamars.
I built a boat for a friend and he bought Setamars for it. He gave me two for halyards as a going away present. I used them for the halyards - man - what a pain. They ate the rope, they were really hard to wind in and out, (yes you have to wind them out to do it safely) they were unsafe with their strange way of releasing.
Within about a week of use we were thinking of changing them. So we installed Andersens and were very happy. The Setamars were put into storage. I still have them but feel bad about selling them - they are that bad. So IMHO these winches would need replacement before I used the boat. I shudder thinking about them.
