Are any of the fuel docks around the Whitsunday's set up with water outlets as well so you can fill up at the same time?

Able point Marina yes, or you can go into the public pontoon and collect water .

Are you going to Bait reef? Do you want some screen shots of the best snorkelling spots?

Seaka at Bait Reef August 2015.

There is no water at the Abell Point Marina fuel dock!

You have to go to the public dock [bring your own hose and fittings] just to the north for water. You will see where when you come in to get fuel, its the run down pontoon.

Fuel dock is now credit card only at the pump. Remember to use 'other' then set your limit, default is $1000!!! You will only be charge for what you take.
Diesel and premium unleaded only. You have to walk [from VMR boat ramp] to Coles to get standard unleaded.

Hamilton Island chargers by the hour, just to be there, so not an option.

Other fuel southwards is at MacKay and north at Bowen.

Just returned from Bait Reef, two glorious days with flat water and whales.
Had to motor back to Hook Is on a flat sea yesterday as there was no wind but had a beaut sail to Airlie today from Butterfly Bay.
Sheltering under Grimston Point [very rolly] from strong w - nw winds tonight, into Airlie early on Thursday.

If the weather is suitable try the southern mooring the snorkelling is amazing there. If you try the sorthern morning you will need to come out of the atoll and follow the reef to the south or possibly take the tender if it's a reliable one.
I think there is only a pink or green bouy at the entrance to the Atoll you pass this on your starb side going in , the old post can be seen about 10 meters below. They may have replaced it though. Enjoy!

Entry to the Bait Reef moorings is a slender YELLOW buoy.

You must enter with it just off [like 5m] from your starboard side.

Best to enter after 0900 and before 1500.

Polaroid glasses make the reef 100% visible.

Ohh and forgot to say if fulling small fuel containers at Abell Point Marina you will need a funnel as ALL the pumps are high flow with the larger size nozzles.

Entry to bait reef.

Thanks For the tips Southace and Nswsailor,

No, but I believe you can get in there but experience with coral and two up so you have a spotter up forward is necessary.

Extra to the fuel, I've just been informed that low flow nozzles and standard unleaded is available on the South side fuel dock.
When you enter the marina turn to starboard and you will see the fuel dock to port in the next lane.

You will have to go back around the other side for water.

I am currently at Abell Point Marina and got fuel only yesterday. Abell Point has both pay at the pump and pay at the office, as well as they have both low flow (small nozzle) and high flow. I payed at the office and filled with the low flow pump. (pump No.7). You need to call the marina on vhf 9 to make a booking prior to going to the fuel dock.
