I would like to paint my deck non skid on the cabin roof in a contrasting color before I fit a solar panel, preference would be either roller or brush. eventually the rest of the non skid when the weather warms up
any advice taken on board
end up with this effect
Epigrip which is pulverized/powdered rubber added to the paint will give you a very nice non skid surface that will not tear your feet to shreds.
It can be applied with a spray gun but it will float in the paint so you need to keep it well mixed during the painting process.
Glass beads, sand and crumbled cork are OK if you never go bare foot on deck and will be scrubbing your decks every couple of days. They collect dirt like crazy.
International Interdeck.

Painted my decks January 2014.
Before:
After::
After:
Used 2" stiff brush and "stippled" a lot.
Very Happy with results.
I used the Norglass system.
In fact I have to remove a section to allow for a halyard to run across a small part.
Proving to be really hard to remove
So I reckon I can recommend Norglass Weather Slip Resistant Deck Paint
Jst did mine with Kiwigrip, paint it on thick then roll with a stipple roller. very pleased with results, just make sure you spend time on masking.
Interested to hear what you use and how it goes

The local chandler has Norglass so Ill drop by and get some
Tredgrip is fantastic.
I buy the white then take to the local paint shop to tint.
It works fine with standard paint tints.
$40 a litre or thereabouts.
use a very fluffy roller
