Hi HG

How is that boat of your going as you haven't posted any updates for a while

We have these on our zero turn mowers at work and they keep the sun of the operators when they are sitting under them but if you had them on a boat to shade you when you are sitting they would be too low to stand under and if they were high enough to stand under i don't know how much protection they would give as the ones on our machines are not all that big

Regards Don

Last week I sold that 29 foot Van de Stadt for a friend to a young bloke from Newcastle. It has a hardtop that looks like its off a tractor. It's a pain in the arse and the new owner will be removing it. Offers good shade on rare occasions! If the sun remained in one place and the yacht never changed course or heeled it would be fine. Also from the normal helming position the mainsail is hidden.

It's also an eyesore.

I know of another where they fitted the fuel injection rack back the front.
And they tow started it so when they started it when you move the throttle to ides it speed up full reeves
They put in against a tree and added top gear she kept going for a while till the tractor made a few holes before she stopped

I'm a shirt n shorts barefoot sailer very rarely I will remove my cockpit covers even when sailing some really nice days I tuck the sides up under the roof or flip them over the safety lines . My next mission is to add some flexible removable 100 watt solar panels.
