You have to realize that a lot of these boats are not really for sale. The wife says sell. Hubby puts up a dickhead ad.
Agree with Ramona. Not just the wife, but the emotional attachment to the boat drives an unrealistic price. Also many people do not realise that prices have dropped dramatically in the last couple of years.
Another factor is that you can never recoup the cost of replacement items such as engines and rigging, and the way to get your value out of that is to keep the boat, and use it. The last factor is that there are boats advertised at a price to sell, and those advertised at dreamer prices.
The sideways photo problem is common with many web sites. They are not geared up for narrow and tall pics. If you are posting on these sites, edit the pic to a ratio of 4 wide to 3 high.
