This afternoon this photo was taken and sent to Newcastle fishing trawlers to warn them of an incoming storm 20 mins after this shot was taken the storm hit trawlers the photo was taken by Newcastle fisheries observers such an incredible shot I was sent this via the captain of the trawler via a text msg at 3.30pm

When you see that do you sit back and think "I am soon to be in heaven" and enjoy the view, or does adrenalin kick in and you go " let's get the f*** out of here? Statistically in the Southern Hemisphere one goes for the left quadrant if facing an oncoming cyclone. Which way do you go when looking at three water spouts?
HG, That is absolutely stunning.
Frant, good question. We got chased by three waterspouts off Byron Bay a few years back bringing a boat up from Sydney. It didn't matter which way we went, these bloody things hemmed us in and chased us all over the ocean. It went from being funny to slightly sobering in the end, had us almost believing there was a water deity we had pissed off along the way somewhere.....
