I cannot post links but if you search Youtube for Brucecreations Channel or kitesurfing box wing you will find them.
Basically it is a biplane foil design where the tips of upper/lower foils join together in an endplate, forming a "box".Also known as Infinity Wings in aeronautics.
In one vid (Youtube "Hydrofoil Kitesurfing Box Wing" ) he comments that they rise earlier than single foils, at minute 2:30 he tries to broach the foil a couple times but it only cavitates the top foil and comes down gently...
This vids are 5 years old, i am kind of surprised that no big manufacturer has R&D something like this...half the wingspan, safer in a crash, no violent breaching...
Or maybe they have and they just did not work for some reason?.
