Hi!. I have the 29,5 turtle with alum adapter, the Kalama 5'8....117lts.... using it now for wing foil. All ok with the Maliko 200, but with the GLs is very unstable... GL 210,180.... I use kai tail and custom maliko. Same set on my friend's Mast works perfect!... mine is newest bright, he has the other. They should be exactly the same, but looks much more stiff. Tnks

If I understand you correctly, you're saying you used the same setup on your friend's mast, it worked great, but on yours it doesn't? That's interesting -- maybe it's how much flex it has? A friend and I each both a used gofoil set up, his is noticably more flexy than mine, you can fairly easily bend the the mast a little. His is the longer one (27" I think), mine is 24".

But also interesting that you don't notice the issue with the Maliko, maybe just how forgiving that wing is, eats up the sloppiness in the smooth ride. I have DIY'ed a GL140 and 180 copy (though dead flat), my experiments with them in surf/sup foiing and winging have been mixed. They feel faster and turn quick, but there is pretty noticable slippy/skatey yaw effect -- which I assume is partly because of no curve in the wings, but this effect may also translate to the real GLs....with so much less curve, I'd think the side to side slipping potential would feel quite different. I find it feels unstable winging, but I don't think I've put enough time in yet to get used to it. Frankly, the Maliko is so much easier that it's hard to lose that extra lift and smooth ride....the GL wings end up with walks-of-shame half the time.

Thanks a lot for your replay!... prob if I use it on a 5'0 prone glassy waves, it would be stable, fast and great... but wingfoil in a SUP and choppy water, feels too loose. Tnks????

So you're saying your newer version gofoil mast seems less stiff? That's alarming. Maybe send an email to Alex at gofoil, he's usually responsive.

They told me are the same.... prob yes....but not all the production things have to be exactly the same stiffness... or may be is just a very choppy water plus wind and big board what makes it so loose
