I seen some stuff damaged in transport like from TNT that it would matter how well it was packed. Just idoits handling it rough.
Noooooo! I feel for you FoilColorado. That absolutley sux! And I don't believe in this postage insurance crap either! Why should we pay more for the mistakes they make! It should be automatic & the postage should be entirely responsible for their bad deliveries full stop!
In my view you should be given a replacement & compensated for the delay.
Hoping it works out for you.
Seller quickly sent replacement wing.
However it too suffered damage.
wt heck???
Wing seems super durable, it just got abused in the postal system. Also think packing was inadequate.
What a pain! Courier companies seem to be more focused on quick loadings & deliveries rather than the care facter of the packages. Even if it states fragile etc on the box.
It's happened to most of my deliveries too. The last one was when I had my JP board delivered. To my horror I found a hole in the box right in the middle of where the bottom of the board is. Definitely happened after it was boxed as the bubble wrap aroind the board was damaged too. But to my relief the board wasn't touched.
Best thing that Your supplier should do is get in touch with its courier & find out the problem. Then maybe go to an alternate courier and also package their products better. Which they shouldn't have to.
Seller has been extremely understanding and is sending out a THIRD wing, hopefully 3rd time is the proverbial charm. 2nd wing was packed with insufficient packing material in box. First wing was clearly postal abuse, as it was damaged through the box and foam insert. Seller assured me 3rd wing is sufficiently padded and braced. Fingers crossed!!
I have 2 np foils and the carbon thickness does seem to be super thin in places. Whereas the Takuma and Armstrong foils i have had are not easily damaged
