Hello,
Ive made a few home made foils now for kiting and they go well but now I'd like to have a go at making myself a Foil for my SUP.
Would it be possible for some one to share the dimensions of the foil that they use on their SUP?
Length, width , thickness of main wing and stabilizer and length of fuselage.
On my kite foils the stabilizer has an inverted aerofoil, is that the common practice on Sup Hydrofoil as well?
I'm 86kg if that is a factor in sizing.
Many Thanks
Hi FF
Here are some pics of my Takuma clone copy foil I took for a friend who is also making a homemade foil. Some dimensions are included.

There is a good foil building thread over on the standupzone forum. Good luck with the build.

That's awesome ,thanks.
Regarding the stabilizer I'm unable to see which way the airfoil profile is arranged, is it facing up like a plane wing or inverted?
Hi FF
I have added some additional pics of the rear wing profile. It has a fine aero profile on the upper surface and a more pronounced aero profile on the lower surface. Forgot to mention the angle of attack of the front wing is approx 17 degrees which I have tried to show in the pics. Let me know if you want any more info?
The foil seems to work well. It is still early days for me but have had some great boat sessions and am now starting to prone foil. Coming from a regular surfing background I still have some work to do with sup foiling. Here is a link to one of the recent foil sessions showing the foil in action.
Thanks again for the info.
Ive built my foils out of wood and glass fibre . Certainly not as good looking as your foil!
