I breached and crashed the other day while surfing the Maliko 200. Sadly, while crashing, a finger came in contact with the stabilizer resulting in a nice little wound. The stabilizer has sharp edges near the tips.
1. What performance loss will result from rounding/blunting these areas?
2. Any foils on the market that are not as sharp?
3. Get a big rocking chair and reside to watching from the porch?

SUP foils should NOT have sharp edges.
To void humming, sand only on one side, round up the bottom of the stab foil (the stab lifts downwards) . Aim for the #7 or #8 profile of www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review/Fin-Whistle?page=1#1672436

Don't take up kite foiling you could shave with those. Out of all the foils Go Foils have pretty dull edges. Just get some wet n dry and dull the edge a bit more it won't hurt it. I've just come back from Fiji with reef cuts all over my NP wings , I just kept rubbing them back with 800 grit wet n dry , looks ugly but good as new performance wise and lucky they are tough as nails .
I think the technical response here is, YES(*) - assuming you have the angles correct, the sharper the better on a performance basis.
Realistically, 99.72% of recreational foilers will not notice the difference or get any of the performance advantage from sharp foils.
(*) - I strongly advise against sharpening your foil!!!! If your foil seems crazy sharp, it is likely even sharpen than you'd like if it were to come in contact with you, so as mentioned above, dull the edges a little. Also a poorly sharpened foil will actually loose performance.
Foil edge trimming. The tiniest or changes makes a huge difference. You can get great results just sanding perpendicular to your foils surfaces (From the top surface on the front wing and from the bottom on the rear wing). The worst side affect you will get from dulling your foil is humming. This is much better than a gash.
