Hi all
I'm a newby into SUP foiling. Have been supping for many years and thought I'd take the next exciting step into foiling. How and where can I gain more info into what foils are best for me, what sizes to use when the surf is good, what sizes to use when it's not. Any referencing or information will be greatly appreciated!

Go to your nearest foil shop and have a chat. Work out where all the local foilers go and visit. See what everyone is getting. Lots of cheap learner kits on breeze.

So much info here as well with a few searches. Main thing in asking online is identifying your conditions, weight, and age/fitness. Most of this forum is people talking up the latest and greatest which is not necessarily better for you, but there's great knowledge about what works and what doesn't if you ask a specific question.... For example you could go out on a 2 year old sup foil from the likes of Sunova, Kalama, Jimmy Lewis, Armstrong, etc that is wide and mid length with say a mid aspect foil like Gofoil GT or Takuma 1210 for pennies on the dollar vs. the latest downwing shape and high aspect foil. You'd probably learn just as quick if not faster and really not need anything else. You could take that equipment out in gentle peeling waves and have a great time. You should also consider taking up wing foiling as it is really fun if you live somewhere with protected bays and consistant winds. And wear a helmet.
