If you have experience with both old and new 8'10 Mana, info please.

I really love the look of the 2014 8'10, but they are not in our stores yet, so no hands on experience with the 2014.
I tried, but did not like the older version 8'10... but love my 9'5
The new 8'10 looks fantastic, from what I can see.

I have a chance to pick one up this week, but will not be able to demo.

I know the previous model was enough float & stability for me... how does the new one compare in that regard?
I do not know the volume of the 2013 Mana... if you know it... please include that

Thanks

Been told they're exactly the same. According to the salesman I talked to the 2013 8'10 mana was the first of the new designed manas, then when they bought out the rest of the new mana range they left the 8"10 alone and reshaped all the other manas along the same lines. Not sure if that's correct or not but I'm sure he was genuine in his opinion and he is a very well informed salesman.

Ok, here's a link to the 2013 Naish catalogue. Seems like I was right, as usual.

Volume is 133 litres and the rest of the specs are exactly the same as the 2014 model.

STC, the 8'5 x 30" Mana is the new model @ 132 Litres. If you dont want the width of the new 8'3 X32 (130L), the 8'5 Mana is the ticket.
The 8'5 is a step up in performance on the 8'10.

But sorry to say although hes a good surfr the 8'5 mite be a challenge for STC not saying he can't though. I love my 8.5 mana its slim and fast cancome off a late reentry and not catch outside rail just fast in little waves and trims like a mal should. Am 85kg and feel this board was made for my ease after lots of different boards since 2007. Have had several good sessions on t 8.3x32 and love the turning and the difference but will use as per conditions size and mood.

Thanks Mick and AA.... I discovered what you had explained....
they came in to my dealer. I drove down today, to pick between the 9'5 and the 8'10
I had not seen the replies because I left before they were posted.
I put the 13 and 14 - 8'10 side by side and did not see the changes I had read about in the 8'5... I just expected they went through the entire line.
I tried the 2013 8'10 last year and it didn't offer me anything new...

Winsup... you are exactly right.... I have a few challenging boards already... this board is to fill in on small soft days. The 8'5 would be too much work.

so I picked up the 2014 9'5
waves were on... so I jumped right in the water.
I LOVED the new 9'5.... it goes on a rail much better than the 2013 9'5 that I had.
I found myself getting much more lip time and snapbacks we're great for a big board.

Awesome to get good waves when you buy a new board

I gotta say... this new 9'5 just might be selected for much better waves than I originally planned.... it is super fun

Congrats..

My new 9'5'' Mana [Alana colour] is the best [all round] wave board that I've ever owned.. and I've owned a few..

It's a lot better than the old 9'5''.
