Hoping I can get some unbiased advice,Im from surfing background and am looking to buy a sup that I can paddle up the local waterways, creeks, flat surf days etc and also use when the waves are too small to surf shortie, but still able to turn as easily as possible,so really a wave and flat water sup,Im 80kg surf fit. Thanks for any help
Hi Ricardo .if its a flat water sup your after ..I bought the 11' glide ..( naish)it's good fun .have caught small waves ..
but it's a fantastic flat water sup .
I know theres heaps more volume in a sup so i was thinking something around the 10' mark or is that pushing it a bit??
2014 Fanatic Pro Wave Semi Gun Carbon Inegra - 9' 10", 28.5 inches could i get away with something like this on flat and waves

Too narrow IMO..
Starboard Element. I surf it in all kinds of surf and paddle on flat water when there's no surf. I've got the carbon which is light and makes for easy turning
9'8 x 30 @ 146litres. Very stable and very quick.
ok thanks so should be looking at around the 30" width,Im scouting the buy & sell for a reasonably priced second handy, forums like this are great as you don't have a shop owner trying to flog something he wants to move and Im not into the sales pitch crap anyway, thanks for the input if I spot something Ill run it by here first.

Was the board I start with, can go fish trolling as well as very good fun in small wave whatever condition are, so that is the board you need Ricardo
I have a 10'6 surftech Laird that surfs really good and paddles flat water very good due to the flatter rocker. 29 3/4 wide.
How about the 9' Laird surfer volume wise for 80kg theres a fellow seabreezer selling one atm, looks good for waves just not sure about flat.going to get in touch with him see what he thinks about it too,so many boards out there, starboard have heaps of different models, just don't want to end up with a tanker but also don't want to be struggling to stay afloat going for a cruise up the creek, prob 2 sups the go but have too many boards already, male shorties, kite boards etc, been checking out all the boards you guys have recommended thanks a lot
Go for Volume, probably 140 litres plus. Otherwise it will be tippy in the chop and you will get very frustrated
